School life in Australia means new skills, new friends and new interests. It is never boring. There’s always something new in school or after class. Teachers and students here often do different subjects or activities together. They could also be from different ages.
In year 2013, students usually have four to five classes of between 40 and 90 minutes each, a rest in the morning and a longer lunchtime for a school day. Students usually use lunchtime to talk, visit teachers for help, study or play sports.
Don’t worry about making friends. It’s not hard when you join in activities in school and after class. Australian students and teachers are very kind. Teachers here will encourage you to ask questions and give answers. They’ll show an interest in what you and the other students in your class think.
Going to school in Australia is not all about study. You can do well in your study and still enjoy your life outside school at the same time.
