My understanding of Forrest Gump
Forrest is a man with a generous heart. He often does silly things, but he never do harm on other people. Gump’s life is very special: he met three presidents, fought in Vietnam, made a shrimp business, and started the body mechanics in American and did many things that seem impossible for an IQ of 75. “Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you are gonna get.” Gump really made his life in a positive way.
Forrest’s mother taught him many things and took great care of him. Owing to her good education, little Gump had a kind heart. Gump loved his mothWWw.ZaidIan.Com 载.点.网整理er and his later success made her the happiest mother in the world. When she got cancer, Gump rushed to look after her. I believe she died peacefully with Gump’s love.
Gump know what love is. Being his only friend, Jenny accompanied him in their childhood. But they grow up to different lives. Jenny’s life was messed up but Gump kept his love. Whenever Jenny got hurt, Gump will be around and protected her. I got a deep impression on Forrest’s words: “I’m not a wise man, but I know what love is.” Stupid he is, he really explained what love means.
Gump got his second friend, Bubba, in the army. Bubba dreamed of being a captain and start his shrimp business. But he got killed in Vietnam, and his words was left to Gump. “A promise is a promise”, Gump started the business the moment he got the money. What’s more, Gump gave a big share of the business to Bubba’s mother, making her a rich woman living rich days without cooking shrimp for other people.
Without Gump’s help, Lt. Dan would have been killed in the war. Dan was depressed because he didn’t die on the battle field with honor but had his legs cut off, which means he could never live a man’s life. But Gump saved his soul. He helped Dan to understand life and made peace with God.
Forrest Gump did many good deeds. His nonstop running for three years started the body-mechanics in America and helped many more people find life’s meaning. He invested for Apple Co., spoke in the anti-war movement, and did many things. As a stupid man, his impossible success lies in his mother’s education. She told him to “live with what God gave you”, and he really did it. He achieved a successful life with an IQ of 75.

To be honest, I've never seen anyone like Forrest Gump in a movie before.Forrest Gump who is unfortunately to be born with a lower IQ and the muscle problem, usually, people always think this kind of person can't be successful in doing anything. But, instead, this unlucky man has achieved lots of incredible success, he is a football star, a war hero, and later a millionaire!
Forrest Gump not only shares his innocence and purity with others, ,he also manages to retain that innocence through some very difficult times. I love Forrest that he doesn't lose his purity through the movie, or maybe he just can't ,but either way, this shows us don't need to be evil or really intelligent to be recognised or successful.
It is just a movie, so maybe it doesn't work like that in reality.A simply means is that the acting and story of this film got a high level like the real . And in my definition that's what a good movie should be able to do.
