1. in case 这里的意思是“以防，一旦”。全句大意：一旦你看到一些不合实际的东西你可以对计划做一些更改。now than没有这个搭配。

2. 这里telling us about the delay in receiving thematerials because we had planned to begin work tomorrow 是动名词作宾语，以满足appreciate something 的结构。如果要是用appreciate him，应该加一个for。结构为appreciate sb for doing sth。

3. 这题很简单，hang的过去分词是hung不是hanged，hanged是过去式

4. 这里是from + which形式引出的宾语从句。如果是whom也对，但是who不能作宾语，因此不对

5. 这题考察并列句式的省略，glad to后面省略了前面提到的 come to your dinner party tonight。所以是glad to come而不是glad to have

6. 这题选c，意思是:在十一岁的时候，Sophia就已经像个诗人一样了。like sth像...一样

7. in the air固定搭配，意思是“悬而未决的，未定的”

8. 虚拟语气： It is (high) time that 后面的从句谓语动词要用过去式或用should加动词原形，但should不可省略。如：
　 It is time that the children went to bed.
　 It is high time that the children should go to bed.

9. 圣诞节是一个家庭团聚的一天。这里一个家庭并不是特指，所以用a family，而one day一天是特指家庭团聚的那一天而不是随便的某一天，
