安装前：

1、如果已安装ArcGIS 9.2之前版本的软件，请先卸载干净，否则安装可能不成功；
2、安装License Manger（ArcGIS 9.2许可管理器）：
用记事本打开 license.lic 文件，在第一行将 “SERVER this_host any”中的 this_host 修改为您计算机的名称，然后保存修改；
运行下载后的 LMSetup.exe 文件开始安装许可管理器；
当提示需要许可文件时，选择 "I received the license by email..." 然后单击 browse,选择 ......\license.lic 文件即可，安装完成后将提示重新启动计算机，暂时先不要重新启动，先将 ARCGIS.exe 和license.lic文件复制到 C:\Program Files\ESRI\License\arcgis9x 目录，然后双击下载后的 ESRIFloat.reg 文件将其导入注册表中；
3、重新启动计算机；

4、计算机重启后，打开“开始” 菜单－所有程序－ArcGIS － License Manager 9x － License Manager Tools，将弹出许可配置对话框：

选择 Service/License File 选项卡，并选中 "Configuration using Services" 项，然后在列表中选择 “ArcGIS License Manager”；

选择 Configure Services 选项卡，确保 “ArcGIS License Manager” 位于“Service Name” 列表框中，并将当前 License file 定位到 C:\Program Files\ESRI\License\arcgis9x\license.lic，选中“Start Server at Power up”项 和 “Save Service to save the settings” 项；

选择 Start/Stop/ReRead 选项卡，您现在可以测试一下是否许可成功：点击 “Stop server” 按钮，然后 ReRead license file，然后 Start Server，测试时对话框上有提的，自己看就是了；

选择 Server Diagnostics 选项卡，点击 “Perform Diagnostics” 按钮，如果一切正常，列表中所有条目都将显示 ok；

1. If you have already installed ArcGIS 9.1, just uninstall it and install this version.
2. License Manger Setup
a. Create the following directories:
i. C:\Program Files\ESRI\License\arcgis9x
b. Copy license.lic to that directory.
c. Edit the first line of the license.lic file
i. SERVER this_host any
ii. Change this_host to the name of your computer
d. Run LMSetup.exe
i. Choose C:\Program Files\ESRI\License\arcgis9x\license.lic when prompted.
ii. Do not restart.
iii. Copy over ARCGIS.exe to C:\Program Files\ESRI\License\arcgis9x
iv. Add ESRIFloat.reg to the registry.
e. Restart your computer.
f. Launch StartMenu -> ArcGIS -> License Manager 9x -> Run License Manager Tools.
g. Choose tab Service/License File, and check "Configuration using Services", and choose the ArcGIS License Manager.
h. Switch to tab Configure Services, make sure ArcGIS License Manager is in the Service Name listbox.
i. To Path to the license file ,Browse to the correct License file path (C:\Program Files\ESRI\License\arcgis9x) where you copied the license.lic file and choose it as license.
j. Check Start Server at Power up.
k. Click Save Service to save the settings.
l. Test the server by choosing the Start/Stop/ReRead tab, Click Stop server , then Start Server ,then ReRead license file.
m. After that move to the tab Server Diagnostics and press the Perform Diagnostics button. If everything is done right, it should list all ok features.
3. Mount ArcGIS Desktop 9.2 DVD.iso
4. Install ArcGIS Desktop.
