With his full tide is ready her to honor;
But when the silver wagon of the Moon
Is mounted up so high he cannot follow,
The sea calls home his crystal waves to moan,
And with low ebb doth manifest his sorrow．

So you, that are the sovereign of my heart,
Have all my joys attending on your will,
My joys low-ebbing when you do depart,
When you return, their tide my heart doth fill.
So as you come and as you do depart,
Joys ebb and flow within my tender heart．
译文：
但看那静夜中的女王,
发着清辉吸引大海；
大海看到那初升的月华,
便鼓动高潮汹涌彭湃；
当银色的月车愈升愈高,
无法尾随的大海再也难以忍耐；
那晶莹的浪花沉吟低落,
那消退的潮水发出阵阵悲哀。

你就是天上的月亮,
把我心海的潮汐安排；
你离开时我的欢乐就退落低潮,
心海涨潮还需等你回来；
