Although watching movies can directly bring laughter, sadness,scare... to you, I prefer reading books. First, reading can expand your knowledge. If you want to know about something, you can choose books that are related. By reading, you get to know the concepts, examples, experience,conclusions... Second, reading allows you to have quiet time. You can sit in the sofa, having sunshine on your shoulders and a cup of coffee on the table. No work, no cell phones ringing, just music and books. Third, reading makes you think. When you watch a movie, you accept what the director wants to show you. But when you read, you imagine what the book tells you in your mind and think your own way. Reaing may not be better than watching movies, but to me, it helps me know more about the world and gives me the peace in the fast moving society. I prefer reading.
