That said大概意思是“即便如此”，引导让步的说法。一般是在上文中提出一个观点之后，紧接着加上其他的补充观点（往往有转折意味）。概念太抽象，看一下例子吧。
例子：
This phone is expensive. That said, the quality is really good.（这个手机很贵。尽管如此，质量是真好）
Christmas is exploited by capitalism. That said, it is still a religious festival.（圣诞节被资本主义利用了。尽管如此，它依旧是一个宗教性的节日）
It's just a gimmick. That said, I'd love to do it.（这只是一个骗人的花招。尽管如此，我愿意这么做）

同义的表达有：
That being said, that having been said, nevertheless, however等，以上例句中的“that said”可以直接被这些表达替换。

还有一个表达，having said that，也是一个意思，但是用法上有区别，那就是它后面跟的句子必须以“said that”的人或物做主语。看一下例子：
