Although we have tried many ways, we have not got much progress in it. Here I have some useful ways to tell you. To learn English well, we must listen, speak, read and write quite often. We can usually listen to English tapes and English songs. We should practice English dialogues with our clas *** ates. Every morning we can read our English texts as loud as possible. We can write what we see and what we feel in a diary like Anne Frank. If you do this I am sure you will gradually make progress. Why not have a try now? 　　Those who always perform outstandingly in school are frequently referred to as "top students". They are much admired by other students and much appreciated by their teachers and their parents alike. Although most of us are just average students with average intelligence, who can honestly say that he or she never has thought of being a top student? Many people think that top students are genius, but according to my observation, top students are just average students who have the following characteristics. To begin with, top students seem to have clear and concrete goals in their life. They know what they want and will never give up whatever difficulties they e across. Next, top students seem to have very good study habits. They listen to the teachers attentively and answer the teachers' questions actively in class and do what the teachers ask them to do after class. They read other books related to the subject to widen their scope of knowledge. Finally, top students seem to have a wide variety of interests. They engage themselves in att kinds of activities. As a result, they atso excel in other aspects. I am also determined to bee a top student. I witt regard the top students as my rote models and witt go out of my way to get to know them and learn from them. 　　English is very important in our lives. We should do our best to learn English well. Maybe you will ask how to learn English well. I have some good methods that fit me best. Let me tell you. 　 To learn English , I preview the day’s lesson before class and try to find the main ideas to reply to the teacher’s questions. In class , I make notes carefully . I often read a passage and retell it myself. Sometimes I learn English grammar and it helps me a lot. When I can’t remember new words , I always write them down in a notebook and take it with me .After class, I always review lessons and sing some chants. Reading a good English newspaper is helpful. We should speak English with our teachers ,our clas *** ates and even with foreigners. We should insist on speaking English every day. 　 In these ways, I have improved my English skills.
