I talked with Julia today because of her fear of the big exam coming up next week. She is really scared that she will not get a good mark and that her parents will scold her. “Don’t worry,” I said to her, “It won’t do you any good. If you want a good mark, you should study hard and prepare well. That way, it would be hard to get a bad mark.” She nodded and seemed to feel better. I reassured her that she will do well since she is smart and works hard. She looked relieved and thanked me.
