互联网的世界也越来越丰富多彩。随着网络的迅速发展和网页、网站技术的日益深入，不论是游戏、广告还是MV，绝大多数都采用了Flash 技术。Flash 还被广泛应用于交互式软件开发、展示和教育等方面，在专业多媒体制作软件Authorware和Director 中，均可导入Flash 动画文件，而且完全使用Flash 制作的多媒体教学软件也已经出现。Flash 在影视制作中也同样大有可为。
在视听语言统治的时代，任何一种叙述方式都逃脱不了MV的影响，Flash自然也不例外。在创作中闪客借鉴了大量的影视语法表现自己想要表现的主题和想要传达的情感。渐隐渐显、叠化、不同景别的组合，以及模拟运动摄影的方式结构自己的作品，使得Flash这个新生事物在生命之初即表现出丰富的语言。
Flash-MTV的出现，增加了音频的表现力，Flash承载的内容量增加，预示着制作者创作中心的转移。之后突出故事性的作品雨后春笋，Flash步入“正途”，开始在网络上大量制造、传播。
