The celebration of Lunar New Year left a sweet memory in my mind.
Early in the morning on the New Year’s Day, I was woken up by the
loud explosions of firecrackers coming from afar. I stayed very late last
night, because I played cards with my schoolmates until midnight.
After getting up, I went out of my resident building to set off some
fireworks to great the coming of the Chinese Spring Festival. Later
our neighbors also came to join me in the New Year celebration activities.
By the time the sun rose up in the east, the air was full of the smell
of gunpowder. I suddenly realized that the air was heavily polluted,
for which I felt sorry but it was really a great fun!
When I came back to my flat, the delicious dumplings were served on
the table. While eating, my Grandpa who I always respect so much, gave
me a red envelop inside which a sum of 5,000 yuan was enclosed and offered
to me as the gift money. I felt so grateful to my aged Grandpa.
After breakfast, I put on my new clothes and went out of home to find
my schoolmates to play cards again. I felt happy and gay through out the
whole day.
