for和because的区别
1、The doctor looks tired because he sat up all night.=Because he sat up all night, the doctor looks tired
2、The doctor looks tired , for he sat up all night with the patient.
——Why does the doctor look so tired?
——Because he sat up all night.
The doctor looks tired, not because he isn’t feeling well, but because he sat up all night with the patient.
When I saw her in the river, I was frightened. For at that point the currents were dangerous.
I feel tired today, for I didn't sleep well last night.
I didn't go, for I was exhausted.
- I bought the house simply because it was large.
- An argument was inevitable because they disliked each other so much.
