Quality Management
Suppliers of equipment and services to the Plant shall operate a quality management system which shall be in accordance with EN ISO 9001, or hold a certificate in accordance with the same.
The Contractor of the Plant shall be certified in accordance with EN ISO 9001.
The Contractor shall throughout the entire duration of the Contract operate a Quality Management System.
The Purchaser shall have the right to inspect quality records and the Quality Management System of the Contractor and his subsuppliers. However, this shall be announced minimum 2 working days in advance.
Equipment of the Plant shall be tested in the relevant manufacturer’s workshop in accordance with the requirement of the relevant standard or norm. Testing may be skipped, if a type test approved by an independent body is available or found reasonable by the Contractor.
The Purchaser shall have full right to participate in any testing and inspection made. The Purchasers planned participation shall be marked on the Workshop Testing and Inspection Plan. If the Purchaser wants to perform additional inspections, he shall inform and agreed this with the Contractor in advance.
If entailing excessive costs or if for practical reasons testing of equipment cannot be made at the manufacturer’s workshops, testing may be moved to the site. However, the Contractor shall bear any risk and/or cost arising here from.
The numbering system for the Plant shall be in accordance with the KKS numbering system. The Purchaser shall at the Date of Commencement or close by issue guidelines for the implementation of the KKS system.
4.3 Design Life
Excluding abnormal wear and tear, the design life of the Plant shall be 20 years over which time the Plant is expected to continue to meet its performance with predictable operation and maintenance costs and without the necessity to exchange major structural elements of the Plant. Any element requiring rebuild or replacement during the design life shall be designed in such as way that the rebuild or replacement can be made with the sufficient safe access and with a minimised outage of the Plant.
The Contractor shall identify the necessity for major rebuild and/or replacements within the design life of the Plant. The information shall be an integral part of the O&M Manual for the Plant.
Pressure parts shall be design for rupture data for 200,000 hours, and if not available for 100,000 hours or as agreed with the Purchaser.
