Water supplies are not endless.Everyone can play a part,at home,at school or in the community,to protect and to save our water so that it will be continued for future generations.
Here are some ideas on how you can save water in the home.
Bathroom Tips
Bathroom use accounts for more than 60 percent of the water used inside the home.
1.Check regularly for any leaks and fix them.Most common bathroom leaks are found in taps and in and around toilets.
2.Replace older,langer-use toilets with the newer models.Standard toilets produced earlier use 13 litres per flush.And they are no more expensive.
3.Do NOT use the toilet to throw away paper,facial tissues,or cigarettes.
4.Take a five-minute shower.
5.Use the smallest amount of water needed for a bath by closing the drain and filling the tub only 1/3 full.
6.Install a low-flow showerhead.It can save about half the amount of water you typically use in the shower,while still providing a refreshing,cleansing shower.
