Banning smoking is an idea that I favor. At the present moment, my country does not have a nation-wide ban on smoking. There are only certain confined areas that have a smoking ban but most places do not have such a ban.

Banning smoking in all public places would mean great benefits to the environment and the people in the city. Firstly, we do not need to inhale second-hand smoke which is very detrimental to health. We can cut down on inhaling such bad quality air and it will benefit our health in general. Also, the environment would also undertake less stress because there is less pollution.

However, banning smoking in public places would also mean that we have to find alternative places to house these smokers. They would need to constantly step into special corners to smoke. This will be inconvenient to many smokers because they have to travel a long distance just to make sure they can smoke.

If a voting can be done, then I guess I would all in favor of banning smoking in public places. It's morally right to not endanger the health of innocent public members.
