An Unforgettable Experience
This summer holiday，I went to Dalian with my family. We got there by air. Dalian is a very beautiful and modern city. On the bus，we could see all kinds of buildings which were great.
In the morning，we got to the hotel where we lived. After breakfast，we began to our travel. First we took the bus to the Sea Park. There are so many different kinds of fishes that I couldn't believe my eyes. We also saw the show of dolphins. Then we had lunch in a restaurant. The seafood which was very famous in China was delicious.
After lunch we went swimming. The sea was blue and beach was golden. We all enjoyed ourselves in the sea. Finally we went back the hotel where we lived. We had a happy day.
In this trip，we also went to some places which were interesting and famous in Dalian，went shopping and so on.
Several days later，we left Dalian. On our way home，we were very happy. This was the reason why we didn't feel tired. In all，we had a good holiday.
My Home Village
My home village is a small one. It’s in Yuxian county of Shanxi Province. Small as it is， it’s very beautiful.
There are many hills around my home village and they are more beautiful than some big mountains. In spring， we can fly kites which are made by ourselves on the top of the hills. The kites fly very high.In summer， the trees are green and the grass is green， too. It is green everywhere on the hills. There are so many wild apple trees on the hills. The wild apples are nice to eat. In autumn， the corns under and around the hills are ripe. So we eat them almost every day. In winter， when it snows， all the ground is covered with snow. We can play with snow and sometimes we eat the clean snow with sugar. In my hometown the sky is blue， the air is clean， the water is sweet and the people are very friendly. I love my hometown！
Our Garden
We have a small garden behind our house. It is beautiful all year round.
When spring comes， the garden is all green. The ground is just like a green blanket. Birds are singing in the trees. The quiet garden becomes lively.
In summer， all kinds of trees grow tall and strong. Golden sunflowers blossom to the sun， waving in the wind. Some other flowers are as red as fire， giving sweet smell and inviting many bees dancing around them.
When it is autumn， apples， pears and other fruits come out from the leaves， just like bells hanging in the trees. On the ground， you can see oranges， big pumpkins here and there.
After a snow in winter， the trees in the garden are covered with snow. The ground is all white with only some green leaves of vegetable sticking out from beneath.
What a beautiful garden！
Sunset
In order to see the sunset， I got everything ready before 5 in the afternoon. Then I went to the East Hill.
At that time， the sun was already in the west， but it was still shining. Its light was so bright that I couldn’t even open my eyes.When I arrived at the East Hill， the light became a bit yellow. After a short while， it was completely golden， then red. The sun nearly set.It was like a big red ball. The clouds around it were also painted red.Little by little the clouds covered the sun more and more. At last it disappeared behind the clouds. It was dark and I hurried back.
My Cat
I have a cat named Mimi. Its hair is as white as snow. I often play games with it. It amuses me a lot and I treat it as a little friend. Every morning， I would say goodbye to it before I go to school and Mimi would wave its front-legs to me. It brings me a lot of pleasure. But it takes time and costs money to keep the cat. My parents and I spend much time taking care of it， feeding it and cleaning it. We have to clean the house from time to time， or the cat will make them dirty and smelly

My Thanksgiving Day activities are very different from my normal weekly activities . First of all , I am able to sleep later . I usually wake up around 8:30. Then I always go downstairs and help my mother and and my sister cook . We often cook until 3:00 in the afternoon . Sometimes I take a break from the kitchen to watch the football game on TV. We seldom eat before 3:00 . Between 3:00 and 4:00 , the whole family gather around the table to eat . Afterwards , we clean up until about 5:30 or 6:00 . When the kitchen is clean , we go outside and play games until about 8:00 . Then we come back in to eat apple pie and pumpkin pie . Our relatives usually leave by 10:00 . I never go to bed before 11:30 on Thanksgiving Day .
