It is an awful truth,lexcial resources,refers to vocabulary, is the base for every english learner.but large vocabulary isn`t equal to the amount of words or phrases you know.otherwise,it valued by how much you can use it easily and flexiblily.
personalily,i don`t think it is a wise choice to build your vocabulary by phrase bloods or glossary book. dull and easy to be forgot. most of the time you don`t know the usage of it.
For me i perfer to enlarge my vocabulary by reading and accumlate vocabulary. i have my own vocabulary book beside me when i read book or newspaper. then i can know both the meaning and the useage. with this good habit,i can easily enlarge my vocabulary. English ,in every aspect affects and connects to the other.so by this method, i can not only build my word base,but my other english ability,especially reading ability.
