你好!!

当prohibit和forbid 作为动词哗者"阻止,不许"的意思时候, 意义上没有区别.
但是用法上有区别.

prohibit通常乱伍薯后接介词from. 例如: 医生阻止(不许)他吸烟.

The doctor prohibits him from smoking.

The doctor forbids him to smoke.

这就是二者橘埋在用法上的区别.

谢谢!!

prohibit (from) doing sth
forbid sb to do sth
意数橘思滑察都是禁止做某事,没有区分。
做题时注薯让团意固定搭配就可以了

前者更正式,祥解如拿扰宏下:

prohibit [transitive]

1 [usually passive] to say that an action is illegal or not allowed [= ban, forbid]:
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the factory.
prohibit somebody from doing something
They are prohibited from revealing details about the candidates.
2 formal to make something impossible or prevent it from happening

forbid
past tense forbade past participle forbidden present participle forbidding [transitive]

1 to tell someone that they are not allowed to do something, or that something is not allowed [≠ permit]
forbid somebody to do something
He was forbidden to leave the house, as a punishment.
forbid somebody from doing something
Women are forbidden from going out without a veil.
strictly/expressly/explicitly etc forbid
The law strictly forbids racial or sexual discrimination.
! It is more usual to say that someone is not allowed to do something, rather than forbidden to do it: I'm not allowed to stay out after midnight.
2 God/消册李袭Heaven forbid spoken used to emphasize that you hope that something will not happen:
'Supposing I had an accident.' 'God forbid!'
3 formal to make it impossible for someone to do something [= prevent]:
Lack of space forbids listing the names of all those who contributed.
