英语语法问题求教！！！谢了！！

①The witness disclosed that his evidence ( had been made up) by himself.括号里为什么不能是was made up??

②She felt as if she ( had been )there before.括号里为什么不能是was？

③No doubt you remember what Wittgenstein (says) about the difference between connotation and denotation.括号里为什么不是said？？

④Because its leaves remain green long after being picked, ( ) associated with the idea of remembrance.
A .so rose became B.the rose became C.rose became D.roses became 答案是C ，为什么B和D不对？？

1. disclosed 是过去式，从句里伪造证据是在disclosed之前，是过去式的过去式，所以用过去完成时。

2. 这句可以像第一句一样解释，也可以解释成为是虚拟语气，所以也用了过去完成时

3. Wittgenstein   维特根斯坦，语言哲学的奠基人，像这种死了很久又很有名的人说的话就用一般现在时，类似于my teacher told me that the moon goes around the earth中go也用的一般现在时。

4. 前句its leaves 中的its就是后句中的rose，为了保持单复数一致，所以rose用单数。前句中已经提到过rose了所以后句中不用定冠词特指。

你说的the teacher told me that the earth circles the sun是老师说的内容（地球绕太阳转这条道理）的谓语动词用了三单形式，可是维特根斯坦“说”，这个说的动作发生在过去，为什么不用过去式呢？

1. disclosed已经是过去时，evidence是他之前编造的，所以用过去完成时

2. 她感觉他之前来过这里。felt是过去时，所以用过去完成时（这个我不太确定，考的应该是as if用法）

3. 主句谓语动词用的remember是现在时

4. 这个真心不太懂，考的是从句
