“need”的用法如下：

1.need用作情态动词，后面接动词原形，通常用在否定句和疑问句中。

It's only eight o'clock, need you get up so early?

There needn't be any arguments about this question.

2.回答need引起的问句时，肯定回答用must，否定回答用needn't或don't have to。

Need we take our shoes at the door. Yes. You must./No.you needn't.

3.need用f作实义动词时，有时态、人称和数的变化。

4.need to do和need doing。

need to do:l need to do my homework.

need doing=need to be done:My homework needs doing.

5.needn't have done与didn't need to do。

needn't have done表示过去本不必做但实际上却做了某事。

We needn't have hurried because the train left late anyway.

didn't need to do表示过去不必做而实际上也没做某事。

l didn't need to get up early this morning.so l stayed in bed until 9 am.
