以下是商务英语函电课本中的课文，本人不是很清楚从何处着手查找有关此文章的课外知识 。
Failing to Supply
We are pleased to acknowledge your fax of April 27, through which we note that you wish to place a repeat order because of your satisfaction with our Chinese silk goods shipped to you per S/S “Victory”. But we feel it regrettable that the patterns required by you are out of stock for the time being.

We can not accept any fresh orders for the above-mentioned goods at least for another month as we are fully committed. However, we shall not fail to contact you as soon as our new supplies come in. Is it agreeable that we ask for forty days’ delay in shipment ?

Regarding stock Chinese silk goods, we are also enclosing a list for your perusal in case you are interested in any other items. If possible, please do not hesitate to let us know your detailed requirements. We assure you that you’ll receive our prompt attention at all time .
