成人想拿到英语类的证书（在社会上有用的）参加什么考试啊？怎样报名啊？

我已经毕业了，但还是想学习英语，想有所发展，不想做一辈子工人。不知道应该怎么办，应该参加什么考试，可以参加什么考试，还可以参加英语四六级吗？也不知道怎样报名和在哪儿报名。我在徐州工作。雅思和托福好考吗？
