Fabric of this type can be tested by using only the pilling after each interval .Fugitive finishes and other added materials affect the pilling propensities of new fabrics so that pilling before and after washing and/or dry cleaning frequently gives valuable information.This tester can be used as a control tester for fabrics in commercial production or as a research tool in the development of new fabric constructions or in studying variations in manufacturing processes.The referenced test methods may vary slightly in their detailed operation,form of support of specimens ,and abrasion media.
