Nowadays advertisements are everywhere.
I think advertisements have both good and bad
effects on young students.
On one hand, advertisements give us
information about things to buy. They make it
easier for us to choose the best product. Also,
some advertisements are beautifully designed
and pleasant to look at. Second, the wide spread of TV ads may also stimulate the economy. Finally, these commercials (广告) often finance the operation cost of television stations.
But on the other hand, they can make trouble
for us. First, most advertisements look attractive
and they persuade us to buy things we don’t need
at all.
This is especially bad for young people. They are
not making money yet. So they have to ask money
yet. So they have to ask for money from their
parents. Sometimes they buy lots of junk food
because the advertisements look delicious. This is
not healthy for them. What’s more, some
advertisements don’t tell the truth. Many people
find themselves cheated after using certain
products.
Weighing the positive and negative aspects, I think that we should turn TV ads to their best advantage. TV ads should be carefully examined and scientifically edited before they are allowed to become a part of people's life. TV stations and producers should treat TV ads as their good servant, not their bad master

There is a common misconception that video games create a virtual world which inevitably leads the people who play them astray. But in my opinion, video games have unique values and attractions of their own. They are a great invention of our times and they present a vivid and colorful world in front of us. In video games we can experience something we had never dreamed of. For example, we can travel around the world in a luxury car. We can participate in the "World Cup" to play with the most famous football players. We can even fight against our "enemy" with the most advanced weapons in the world.
I like video games for three reasons. For one thing, video games can train our quick response to things that take place in a spilt second. This is surely beneficial to the development of our mental alertness. For another, video games can arouse our curiosity and interest in electronics and computer science. This will very likely lead us to concentrate on these two subjects in school Finally, video games provide us with the best kind of entertainment after class. While playing the game, we forget the worries and anxiety in our life and work completely.
Of course, video games also have their negative effects. So it is strongly suggested that we do not indulge too much in them. Whenever we play them, we should have self-control.

If you have a friend, yon’ll feel happy; if you have a bosom friend, you’ll feel rich; if you have a friend who gives his hands to you in emergency, you’ll feel lucky. Thank God, I’m a happy, rich and lucky girl. During my life, friendship is the most valuable wealth and unfading memory.
2008, my hard year. Because of lay very poor health, I had to remain in hospital. But it was my second year at high school! I worried about nay study and my future. What I felt was not only pain, but despair. Just then, my friend -- a politics teacher in my high school -- came to my rescue. As far as I know, this old man is also a famous lawyer with busy practice. But he gave up his practice more than one year and taught me in the hospital almost every day. He gave me both knowledge and the faith in the future.
With his help, I overcame the difficulty and became a college student. I couldn’t express my thanks in words, because he did too much for me. He told me that he felt happy to light a path for me and wished me to have a brand-new future. I was lucky enough to have such a good friend. I love and respect him. In my heart, he is ray teacher, ray father, and above all, my best friend forever.
