本文首先介绍了五子棋游戏的基本规则，以及游戏的整体设计。根据五子棋的基本规则，要让电脑知道该在哪一点下子，就要根据盘面的形势，为每一个可能落子的点分别计算其重要程度。借助获胜表，计算机可以计算出每个点的重要程度的，再采用了博弈树的方法，应用剪枝和最大最小树原理进行搜索，从而发现最好的下子位置。当某方下一子后，计算与当前棋子相邻的八个方向，以该子为出发点的水平、竖直和两条分别为45度角和135度角的线的同色棋子个数，大于四则分出胜负，否则继续。最后，介绍了游戏界面及辅助功能的实现。
