The Internet is a very lively of development,the characteristics of openness led to the destruction faced by the network and the attacks may be multi-faceted,so protection of data and transfer,handing is very improtant.Firewalls and other security tools already been used in a variety of network environments generally,by the attacks against the network play animprotant role,but there is still network intrusions,particularly from inside attacks,wich need to rely on intrusion detection systems audit and limitations,can not substitute for each other.The paper studies the principle of its own,after the two were compared,and then put forward a firewall and intrusion detecion system linked with a more comprehensive approach to network security protention,and finally to network security to prevent further thinking.
