There is /there’s/ there are 有….

there is 跟 there are 的差别在于，there is 后面接的是单数名词，而there are 后面则是接复数名词。无论是there is 还是 there are，表达的都是「有….」的意思。

句型：There is /There’s + 单数名词

例： There are three cats over there. 有三只猫在那里。

例： There is no time to lose. 没有时间可以浪费。

另外，你也可能会很常听到外国人说 there’s，其实there’s就是there is 的简写，通常外国人念很快的时候，就会念成there’s。只不过there’s 是比较非正式的用法唷。

例： There’s a letter on your desk. 你的桌子上有一封信。

至于there are跟there is所表达的意思是完全一样的，只是there are后面接复数名词而已。
