随着世界经济的一体化发展，国际间贸易在贸易中的地位越来越高，理论与现实应用都带来了相当程度的挑战。随着我国正式加入世贸组织，我国的对外贸易进入了一个新的发展阶段，一个机遇与挑战并存的阶段，我国与世界的经济联系将会越来越紧密，加之我国经济的主要增长是依存于对外贸易，所以如何正确、合理、快速地完成对外贸易，成为了我国所关注的问题，这也成为了影响我国对外贸易经济发展的重要因素，深入到经济生活的各个方面。因此，认清现阶段我国对外贸易的操作方式，并探寻对于不足问题的解决途径，显得尤为重要。其中很重要的一点就是对贸易时间的要求，其中比较有效的方法就是使国际贸易电子化，结合电子商务的应用，使贸易时差缩短，加快贸易进程，解决货物的滞留，保障货物的品质，减少贸易纠纷。
