A particle p of mass 0.4kg is attached to one end of a light elastic string of modulus of elasticity 24N and natural length 1.2m.the other end of the string is ficed to a point A on the smooth horizontal table on which P rests.Initially P is at rest with AP=1m.The particle receives an impulse of magnitude 1.8N s in the direction AP.

问.Calculate the time that elapses between the moment P receives the impulse and the net time the string becomes slack.

The particle comes to instantaneous rest for the first time at the point B.
问 Calculate the distance AB.
