我们读大学究竟是为了什么？只是为了考试？只是为了毕业？为了学分吗？我们揣着学分以后能找到工作吗？这未免离上大学神圣使命的原则太遥远了。大学，原本应该是一个学术的天堂，这里面的每一个人都是奔着学术梦来，来这里就是为了学到扎实的知识，让自己变成一个充满智慧博学的人。可是现在这一切似乎都被颠覆了。在一个浮躁的社会里，人们也变得浮躁，就算是涉世未深的大学生也是这样。他们无心专心致志的学知识，他们变得功力，变得一切都以考试和工作为目的，而抛弃了最主要的获得知识，进行学术研究与知识探索的目的。 读大学，主要的是学知识，让自己变得博学，变得被知识填充，其它的都只是在实现这个目的的过程中顺便实现的。 上选修课也是如此，选修课在各高校开设有着补充学分的任务，但更有着挖掘学生多方面潜能的责任。

This rather far from the principles of a sacred mission. university, is suppose to be a heaven for academic learning, everyone here all come for their academic dreams, coming here is to learn solid knowledge, make oneself into a person full of knowledge. but now all these seems to be over turned. in this impetuous society, people becomes impetuous, even for university students who haven't have much contact with society. they don't focus on learning knowledge, (变得功力再次不知道什么意思，所以没有翻译，不过基本意思以融入下一句！) they become people who learn with the sole purpose of exams and job, and abandoned the main purpose of receiving knowledge, to do academic research and to explore knowledge. going to university, mainly is to learn knowledge, to make one become more knowledgeable, all the other purpose is only things that is to be achieved along to way. it's the same for electives, electives in universities is set as the task for add credits, but it has the responsibility of digging for the different kinds of potential in students.
