这个的话，with adapting的表达为什么错了呢？难道只有succeed in这样？

这里的话，emotional是错在哪里呢？而且,不是有so...that的表达嘛？怎么这里只有so没有that,反而出现了to呢？

1. succeed in doing sth 是固定词组，所谓固定，只不过是指习惯，语言有许多是约定俗成的，你就是问老外，他们也不一定就能说出个所以然来，对付它只能是记。
2.这里的emotional是修饰reaching的，所以应用副词emotionally; so...that词组中，that 引导从句，但原句后面是动词不定式，所以不可能用that; 另外，此处是reach to 词组，表示“延伸，触及”，此处引申为“处理，应对”；
3.while 就是同时的意思，和at the same time语意重复；
4. 这里的that 从句和前面的so构成so...that 从句，大致意思是：他如此沉迷于要成为绅士的幻想，以至于他对道德的评判一时间受到了影响。
