Despite the daily pressures of home and business, Dexter and Birdie maintain fulfilling personal interests. Birdie and the younger Yagers love to ski, often traveling to mountain slopes (usually without Dexter. "I moved cot of the cold for a reason!" he insists). His interest in free enterprise has led to an active role in politics, speaking engagements and writing (Dex has written twelve books and Birlie one). He is an avid collector of fine automobiles. Dexter and Birdie Share a deep commitment and are involved actively in Christian and political activities and interests.
And although they still make their networking business the hub of their income-making activities, the Yagers have also developed a long list of businesses including: a group of restaurants, several office buildings, and a beautiful Racquet Club Resort. He is also heavily involved in the purchase and development of real estate.
"Real success is not to be taken for granted," Dexter affirms, "The achievement of our goals, if of any value to begin with, is no minor undertaking. If you do not have to work to accomplish a goal, then there was probably no validity to it in the first place. Anything of value is worth exerting the effort to obtain. One underlying fact always must remain: a dream unrealized is a dream imprisoned by that enemy of all enemies—the fear of failure. Set that dream free by determining that you will make it happen!"
