　　I'd never given much thought to how I would die — though I'd had reason enough in the last few months — but even if I had, I would not have imagined it like this. I stared without breathing across the long room, into the dark eyes of the hunter, and he looked pleasantly back at me. Surely it was a good way to die, in the place of someone else, someone I loved. Noble, even. That ought to count for something. I knew that if I'd never gone to Forks, I wouldn't be facing death now. But, terrified as I was, I couldn't bring myself to regret the decision. When life offers you a dream so far beyond any of your expectations, it's not reasonable to grieve when it comes to an end. The hunter smiled in a friendly way as he sauntered forward to kill me. 我从未多想我将如何死去，虽然在过去的几个月我有足够的理由去思考这个问题，但是即使我有想过，也从未想到死亡将如此地降临。我屏息静气地望着房间的另一头，远远地凝视着猎人那深邃的眼眸，而他则以愉快的目光回应我。这无疑是一个不错的死法，死在别人--我钟爱的人的家里。甚至可以说轰轰烈烈。这应该算是死得其所。我知道如果我没有来福克斯的话，此刻也就不必面对死亡。但是，尽管我害怕，也不会后悔当初的决定。当生活给了你一个远远超过你期望的美梦，那么当这一切结束时也就没有理由再去伤心。
