of whom是带有介词的一种关系代词，他是不能省略的，其中这个介词是由后面的谓语或者前面的词组来决定的，如：Ahead of me I saw a woman ____I thought was my aunt.
在这句话中，woman做宾语，thought of 是固定短语“认为”的意思，所以在这儿要选择
of whom，因为先行词的人，而且做宾语。
whose 也是一种关系代词，它后面一般情况下会有名词出现，如：This is my sister whose eyes are big. eyes是一个名词，所以就选择whose，这也是定语从句中最简单的一个关系代词。
