A skilled and talented teacher can add so much richness to what is being learned. I believe it is always better to have a teacher to some degree.

We go to school not just learning grammers and vocabularys， not just learning functions and equitions, but a greater purpose is in store for us to serve: To become wise and civilized. To achive that, you may use some proper guidence ,and you may find them nowhere but in school.
Though your cellphone can tell you a load of things, but you can not tell the right from wrong ,get lost is easy for you. In school, teachers shall give you some proper counsel, and you will learn things of your need.
So, never doult yourself again on such silly qusetion again.
