自述:为什么读中医
若要问为什么读中医，理由很简单：因为爱。

好像上天故意和我作对，09年对我而言又是一个不祥之年，但同时也是我为什么选择中医学的开始。刚过完年，本是喜庆有余，然而我丈夫却在工作中发生了意外，腰椎出现问题，辗转各医院均没有明显效果，为了更好的照顾家庭，我念着丈夫一家人对我的好，我选择放弃事业。通过各种渠道打听能治疗这种病的情况，终于一次无意间听朋友说通过按摩和针灸可以起到效果，果然一个月后检查已经有了明显好转，为此我也开始学习各种帮助丈夫康复治疗的医学知识。亲人的照顾永远是最好的。丈夫慢慢康复，我也喜欢上了这个帮助我一家人共度难关的恩人——中医。
丈夫现在已经再次高升要职，现在家人支持并要求我学习中医学。而我也本已经师范专科同时自学本科毕业，再从专科学习有些浪费学历。家人通过别人介绍了解美国德州中医学院，不限科系，毕业即为硕士文凭，一举两得。我得到了家庭的理解和支持，我的家庭也为我提供了足够的留学资金。
俗话说中医治标又治本。注重整体观念，强调人体本身是一整体。中医药是世界医学宝库中的重要组成部分,已有两千多年的历史。随着中国对外开放的不断深入,中医学在世界上的影响也日益增大。中医医典的英语翻译便显得至关重要,而且中医的对外交流也需要相应的英语人才,因而产生了一门新型学科——中医英语。
德州中医学院被纽约杂志社评选为全美最好的三所中医学院之一。我志愿申请到贵院留学，如蒙准许，一定努力学习，学成后归国，将从事中医英语教学工作，为中国的中医事业、为传播世界和平文化、为促进中美文化交流贡献一份自己的力量。
