He's a fine type of ( C )
A. a Chinese gentleman B. the Chinese gentlemen
****因为前面“a fine type of”已经有一个a了,再加一个a就是重复。***
( A )some people have nothing to eat, others eat too much.
A. Although B. Unless C. Even if D. Whereas
30. He should have been working but was ( B) engaged.
A. else B. otherwise C. differently D. or else
31. Having received over 80 percent of the votes, Jane Byrne became the first
woman ( C ) elected mayor of Chicago.
A. to have B. to have been C. to be D. was ever
to be 在这里其实就是替换掉了“who would be”,过去将来时。 ***
33. Jack may not come before two o'clock, in (A ) case, we have to put off the meeting.
A. which B. that C. this D. any
34. Everyone had an application form in his hand, but no one knew which office room __A____.
A. to send it to B. to send it
C. to be sent to D. to have it send
***A 。 不定式和前面的 office 有逻辑上的动宾关系,还原以后是: to send it (the letter) to the(which) office, 这个介词 to 是一定要有的。
I have no room to live in.
Please lend me a pen to write with***

31.全面有having received...,表明此动作在前,故后面不用to have been
