前言
随着IT技术的日益成熟，网络这个词对我们来说已经不再陌生。无论是个人还是企业，都纷纷连接到这个世界上最大的计算机网络中。然而，接入到Internet的自治系统有大有小。对那些小型的、简单的网络结构，我们往往采用静态路由技术就可以完成在其自治系统内的路由寻址功能。而对于那些中、大型的自治系统，由于其网络拓扑结构复杂，网络地址繁多，采用人工手动配置的静态路由技术，就显得不切实际了。因此，根据合理的路由寻址算法设计的动态路由技术便应运而生。OSPF就是动态路由选择协议的一种，并且由于其强大的功能、良好的可扩展性和优越的网络性能，被广泛应用于各种大、中型的网络架构之中。
OSPF(Open Shortest Path First 开放式最短路径优先)路由协议是IEFT(Internet Engineering Task Force)为了满足建造越来越大基于IP网络的需要,专门开发的一种开放式的、链路状态的路由协议，以便于用在大型、异构的IP网络中。其名字中的“开放式”是指OSPF是基于开放标准的,可以在大部分路由器上运行。目前广泛使用的是OSPF路由协议的版本2。RFC2328(1998年4月)是OSPF协议版本2的最近修订。
近几年internet仍然在快速的发展,庞大的网络需要强大的路由协议的支持,OSPF无疑是其中的佼佼者。对于学习网络技术的人来说，研究优秀的路由协议技术无疑是我们的一个重要课题。
