Long time no see. How's everything going?

I had a good time in the past few days, as it was Spring Festival. It's a festival as important as your Christmas. All family members get together in those days, having fun and having delicious food.
Well, the good time actually starts one day before the Chinese New Year.
People do cleaning and prepare food in the daytime. Maybe there're some people busy in sticking couplets onto the door. When night falls, the real fun starts. That's a time we call Spring Festival Eve. The whole family sits around the table, feasting while watching the Spring Festival Gala till midnight. That's how most Chinese greet Chinese New Year. People usually play firecrackers after midnight. But there are less and less people play those noisy toys day by day, as they start to realize that firecrackers bring pollution, which is no good at all.
On the first day of Chinese New Year, people usually go to visit their relatives and friends. The grown-ups must prepare red pockets for the kids to bring good luck to the youngsters. Kind of old fashioned, eh? But I like it. It's kind like once in the whole year, I can get bunches of money without working.
Unluckily, the good time won't last for long. The end of the festival is always followed by a new semester. We have to wait 365 days for another Chinese New Year. Maybe I'll invite you to come to China to have a good time with my family next year. Let's wait and see.
