from which 可翻译为从。。。地方，不涉及方向，而FROM WHERE 翻译为从。。。方位，若用前者，即为从山那块儿，只强调地点名词，不知是山上还是山脚下，而from where代替from THE TOP OF THE MOUTAIN.。举个例子
from behind THE DOOR,即为从门后面 e.g. He ran out from behind the door to the tree.他从门后跑出来，一直跑到了树那儿

此处， from behind the door 的功能如同where，而from the door 如同which。
