One possible version ：    My mother had something important to do last Sunday and wouldn't get home until 5:00 p. m.，so she told me to do some things for her. I did a lot that day. I washed the dishes and swept the floor in the morning. After that I bought some meat and vegetables in the supermarket. In the afternoon after I fed our dog I took it out for a walk.    It was the first time I had helped my mother do so many chores. Although I was a little tired I was very happy.
