To serve not to be served
Before start to talk about the serve ,First I want to know what is the meaning of life,a philosopher Bertrand Russell once said “unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind is one of three reasons to live with the world”. Men at their birth, are naturally good. So we all have the pity and but why give our pity to others, a great man Schweizer said “one thing I know,the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who will have sought and found how to serve.”yes, As we all know,happiness is what we try to look forward to have ,but happiness is to be found along the way,not at the end of the road,that is to say,to live is to function,if you have no action ,you won’t be left anything but vanish.
Next I will introduce a great woman to you.she dedicated every day of her adult life caring for the dying people,the mentally ill,the unwanted and the unloved,she fed them,shelted them,cleaned their wounds,she gave them back their dignity that poverty had taken away from them,her name is mother Teresa.She once met a dying woman on a street,she served her heart and soul,she said “after I did what I could,she took my hand,gave me a beautiful smile and thanked me,she gave me more than I gave her”.of course,serve the people may cost,hurt or empty ourselves,but it also rewards us ,the rewards of service is peace and happiness in mind.
Serve people throughout the world who live and die,in poverty or hungry,give them our love through our hands,I think that is the meaning of serve and life.one president of America,kennedy said:my fellow Americans,ask not what your country can do for you,ask what you can do for your country,this is also true to us,ask not what others do for you,but what you can do for others,and it is not how much we do,but how much love we put in the doing,when we serve helpless old people,unwanted children and loneliness,poverty,and try to alleviate the tribulation , if we all have love and compassion ,the world will be better and more harmony. “Not to be served, but to Serve”,I want which become our principle.
