只有一个主谓结构的句子，就是简单句；
He sings two songs.
He and His brother will come.
He and His brother will go and see his mother.
有两个或两个以上的主谓结构，并且句子之间有并列连词and, but, or, for, so等连接，这样的句子就是并列句；
He is 13 and his brother is 8.
有两个或两个以上的主谓结构，并且有从属连词引导的从句，这样的句子就是复合句。
We know that the earth is round.
一个句子中同时有并列句和从句，就叫并列复合句。
