Follow the Oceans team out to sea as they attempt to film the extraordinary mass fishing technique known as Pa-aling off the Palawan Island of North West Philippines, and watch one of the few remaining shark callers, Selam Kirisibe pass his down his knowledge to his grandson in New Ireland, Papua New Guinea.
Deserts：沙漠
The Deserts team experience the extraordinary male beauty contest (known as Gerewol) of the Wodaabe people of Niger, and describe the peaceful coexistence between the desert elephants and the herders of Mali in the Sahel at the edge of the Sahara.
Arctic：北极
Watch a video tour of the Arctic production camp, learn about the Inuit’s relationship with their Greenlandic dogs and listen to Elle-Helene and May-Torill’s joiks. A joik (pronounced ‘yoik’) is a form of poetic song unique to the Sami people which often have links with nature, a person’s personality or events in their life.
Jungles：丛林
The Jungles team travel to the Central African Republic and hear the incredible sounds of the BaAka women’s polyphonic singing and rhythmic water drumming. Researcher Rachael Kinley learns how to count 'Korowai style' using parts of her body.
Mountains：高山
The Mountains team look on as the Swiss ski patrollers detonate explosives in the Swiss Alps and enjoy Kazakh music inspired by the eagle hunters of the Altai Mountains in Mongolia.
Grasslands ：草原
The Grasslands team visit Suri elder Naliby in Ethiopia as he prepares a lion skin to wear in a traditional stick-fighting ceremony, and in Mongolia photographer Timothy Allen captures some remarkable time lapse footage of the construction of a yurt filmed on location in the Blue River valley.
Rivers：河流
Join the Rivers team on location in Northern Kenya with the semi-nomadic Samburu people and discover why singing and dancing forms such an important part of their lives, and journey to Laos to see how the team deal with a somewhat unwelcome visitor in camp on the banks of the Mekong.
Cities：城市
Join the Cities team in Kenya and enjoy a cup of tea with a family that lives amongst the rubbish of a Mombasa dump and witness the relationship between Vijay, a Hindu man living in Jaipur, and some of the revered monkeys who run amok in the city.
