1) 这个国家的东海岸有很多岛屿！岛屿与海岸应该不是连在一起，有一段距离对不对？那么就用OFF，如果接壤，就要用 TO.
2) FOR 的最基本意思是 为了。。。，这句就是为图书馆买所有需要的东西。。
3) choice,是选择，choice of ....选择什么
4) between,表明在两者间，你上一题，是 my or his leaving,如果是 my and his leaving,就应该是between,但是上面一道是 or ，所以是 choice of my or choice of his leaving?
5) by the hour...意思是按照小时来领工资，by 有按，靠，通过，经过的意思；
6) by 还有在...之前的意思，这句就是最迟在5点40分之前要到!
7) Change ... for ....把...换成...,也可以用 change ....to .....
8) excuse somebody from doing sth....免除某人做某事的责任
9) make sth from sth...把....通过物理变化来做成... (也有make sth of sth，不过用of的话，就是化学变化)
10) be independent of....独立于。。。。
11) opinion/impression of sth/sb 对某人的观点/意见/印象
12) 这句应该是 by 或者 according to, 用to 的话，我觉得不对，我现在没时间了，下次核实下！

12) 这句应该是 by 或者 according to, 我没查到用 to ,你可以再回去问下你的老师！
13) read a book to the light....我也没有查到 to , 我在google.com上只查到 reading by the light,这个具体你也要回去问问你的老师，我太久没接触这些东西了！
14) check 是支票的意思，check for 1500$ 就是价值1500美金的支票，as a bookmark, as 有作为的意思，就是爱因斯坦用一张价值1500美金的支票当作书签！
15) 填 to 是因为后面有个 refer, refer to 提出的意思，is of great value：有很大的价值，be of +名词，就是这个名词的形容词形式，比如 Love is very important,就可以变为：Love is of great importance.
16) Out of 有出于。。。的意思，该句是：出于好心 的意思。
17) increase/decreas 后面可接两个介词，一个是 to ,一个是by. 接to的时候，是降到/增加到多少，比如500降到400，或者500增加到600，这里就要用to,用by,表示降了/增加了多少，比如500降了20%（就是400），或者增加了20%（就是600），简言之，to是指的某一点，by 是指的程度或幅度。
18) on the air 指的是收音机或广播正在播放....，这句话的意思就是每周日下午，收音机就会响起流行音乐！
19) problem with sth 初中时我们学过 what's wrong with you? 还记得吧？那么就有 what's matter with you? what's problem with you? 这里就用 with.
20) for 有表示原因的意思，消防员为什么猛冲，是因为房子正在燃烧，他们要去救火！
21) accuse sb of doing sth,指控某人做某事
22) 这句话不是倍数的表达。 as + adj + as,还....一样。这里应该是 as big a house as ours.和我们的房子一样大。
这句话可以这样：Our neighbor has a house as big as ours,当然也可以把宾语后置，as big a house as....
