急求各位英语高手帮我解答下这几句英语

各位英语高手我现在真在学新概念英语44---46这几篇课文现在有几句需要麻烦大家帮忙解答下，大家也知道后面20课也的确很难！！！Aeroplanes have the reputation of being dangerous这句话其实大概就是说飞机危险！我就搞不懂了为什么这样的句子还要用所有格！为什么不直接Aeroplanes have the dangerous reputation 理解起来也更容易啊！！the fact would have passed unnoticed.这句话passed是个动词 unnoticed我查了很多字典都是形容词，那有动词和形容词搭配的道理，听朋友说unnoticed修饰the fact 形容词修饰名词应该紧挨着啊！！！！The rise to fame was swift.书上解释为to fame 作rise 的定语The rise 很明显是个名词啊！！！那有名词做名词的定语的！难道 to fame 在rise前面！！！如果把句子拆开是不是这样的The rise was swift ！to fame The rise One of links in the chain that drives the wheels had snapped这句话One of links in the chain that 我不是知道宾语从句还是定语从句，但我感觉是定语从句，drives 应该是动词吧！如果把句子拆开是不是 One of links in the chain ！！chain drives the wheels had snapped ！！！！！！！！！！！！！I was faced with the insurmountable task of putting the confusing jigsaw puzzle together again这句话又是一句， 句子所有格长句哎！翻译起来难！！

第一个句子你理解为Aeroplanes have the dangerous reputation是对的，但是这样的英语表达是不规范的，因为 reputation这个词本身并不具备危险这样一个特点，所以用了被动。“the fact would have passed unnoticed”这个句子应该理解为the fact unnotice dwould have passed 。意思就是说不被关注的事实就会过去了。The rise to fame was swift。“fame"虽然是名词，但是前面加了to,所以他是动词不定式做定语了。”One of links that”是定语从句，定语从句前面一定是有先行词的，这里的先行词是links. in the chain是一个状语，指的是links在的地方，One of links in the chain that drives the wheels是主语，that 引导定语从句。宾语从句一般是接在动词后的从句。
