NBA was founded in June 6, 1946. BAA set up a total of 11 teams: New York Knicks, Boston, Washington, Washington Congress team, the Chicago hart team, the Cleveland team traitor, Detroit Falcons team, the Philadelphia Warrior team, the Pittsburgh Iron Man team, Providenciales Sri Lankan team vapor, St. Louis, Toronto and the bomber force Eskimos team. 1949 annexation of the BAA at the time of another Union (NBL), and renamed the NBA. 1949-50 season, NBA teams 17. 1976 NBA annexation of the American Basketball Association (ABA), increased to 22 teams. 1980 Dallas Mavericks joined the NBA. In 1988, New Orleans Hornets and Miami Heat joined the NBA. 1990 Orlando Magic and Minnesota Timberwolves joined the NBA. In 1995 the two joined the Canadian team NBA, Toronto Raptors and Vancouver Grizzlies (later renamed the Memphis Grizzlies), so that the NBA team to reach 29.
