LAB TESTING REQUIREMENTS

It is a requirement of RC that all fabrics supplied should be subject to lab testing as deemed appropriate for the product against it end use. All bulk fabrics and trims must be tested. Manufacturer must provide Performance standard tests reports with conclusion, it is better practice to provide these test reports as soon as SMS fabric is submitted for approval, fabrics that fail standards should not be presented to RC.

All fabrics are to be tested for content, dimensional stability, colour fastness to washing, rubbing (wet and dry) and light. Other tests on materials used will be specified by Rip Curl. refer to quality standards and allowances next pages.

Tests for swimwear: fabrics, prints and transfers if any are to be tested to chlorinated and salt water.

All lab tests to be performed according to international standards (ISO), please refer to next page for detailed tests and allowances

Fabric swatches tested must be representative of bulk production; made-up products must include all trims, zips, buttons, embroideries, prints and appliqués.

We require all fabrics to be free from harmful substances, following the Oeko-Tex standards
