The scientific and rational use of antibiotics can not only prevent and treat animal diseases, but also play a role in promoting growth. On the contrary, overusing antibiotics blindly can not just fail to reach the original goal but will have the harmful substances left in animal food ,thus indirectly harming the public's health and causing great harm to the ecological environment and livestock farming development。
To further know about the condition of antibiotics use in the process of pig farming in a region and the current status of safety of pork on sale, this paper analyses the issue of antibiotic residues in commercial pork and put forward a scientific and effective proposal on the rational use of antibiotics through the combination of a cross-sectional survey and a paper disk method. The survey results show that the phenomenon of excessive use of antibiotics in pig farms is very serious and the human-animal mix of antibiotics use is especially common. The positive rates of pork liver, pork kidney and pork of 50 samples of commercial pork measured by the paper disk method are 64%, 42%, 24%. In the positive samples, the penicillin, colistin sulfate, chlortetracycline and unknown drugs in liver are detected in 37.5%, 18.8%, 62.5%, 25%; those in kidney are 42.8%, 19%, 47.6 %, 19% respectively; in pork, penicillin is 50%, chlortetracycline is 25%, unknown drugs are 16.6%, indicating that the situation of antibiotic residues in animal foods commercially available is not optimistic.
