When Lei Feng went out to change trains at Shenyang Station, at the ticket gate, he found a group of people gathering around a middle-aged woman with a child on her back. The woman had gone from Shandong to Jilin to see her husband and lost her ticket and money. Lei Feng bought a train ticket to Jilin with his allowance and stuffed it into his sister-in-law's hand. Her sister-in-law said with tears, "Brother, what's your name and which unit is it?" Lei Feng replied, "my name is the PLA, and I live in China."
One day in May, Lei Feng went to Shenyang in the rain. In order to catch the early train, he got up at 5 o'clock in the morning and put on a raincoat with several steamed buns. On the way, he saw a woman carrying a child and leading a little girl to the station. Lei Feng took off his raincoat and put it on his sister-in-law. He took the little girl and accompanied them to the station. After getting on the bus, Lei Feng saw the little girl shivering with cold, and took off his suit and put it on her. Lei Feng estimated that she had not eaten in the morning, so he gave them the steamed buns she had brought. When the train arrived in Shenyang, it was still raining, and Lei Feng sent them home again. The woman said with gratitude, "how can I thank you, comrade?
3. One Sunday in the early summer of 1960, Lei Feng had a terrible pain in his stomach. He came back to the regimental health department and took some medicine. He saw that a construction site was building a building for Benxi Road Primary School. He couldn't help pushing a car and joining in the briquette transportation until noon. Lei Feng was surrounded by a group of workers. He said to them, "We are all building blocks for socialist construction. Like everyone else, if we do our bit of duty, we will have a shining light!" This afternoon, when I heard Lei Feng's name and the workers of the Second Construction Company in the city where the army is stationed, I sent a thank-you letter by beating gongs and drums. The family knew that Lei Feng had done a good thing and passed a special Sunday.
4. In August 1960, the flood broke out in Fushun, and transportation was connected to the flood fighting and rescue orders. Lei Feng endured the pain of his burned hands just after taking part in the fire fighting and fought with his comrades in Shangsi Reservoir Dam for seven consecutive days and seven nights, and was recorded a second-class merit.
